One of the most affable and gregarious players in the game, Jacobsen won seven times on the PGA Tour and twice on the Champions Tour, highlighted by his victory in the 2004 US Senior Open.
Jacobsen was a member of two Ryder Cup teams (1985, 1995) and was one of the oldest players to win on the PGA Tour, notching a victory at the 2003 Greater Hartford Open at age 49. Jacobsen, a Portland, Oregan, native, was also a founding member and lead singer of Jake Trout & The Flounders, which included fellow Tour pros Mark Lye and Payne Stewart.
