Below, please find a link to the GolfRSA/World Handicap System Rules of Handicapping that come into effect from the 1st January 2020. Please read through them to familiarise yourselves with the new Rules. The GolfRSA/WHS Rules of Handicapping can also be found on www.handicaps.co.za.
Click through to the GolfRSA/World Handicap System Rules of Handicapping here.
Please note, your Low Handicap Index will be reset as at the 1st January 2020 and will be used to cap any large increases in your Handicap Index over a rolling 12-month period going forward, as per the Soft and Hard Cap rules.
With the introduction of the Playing Condition Calculation (PCC), any adjustment applied to your score differential will be highlighted on your scoring records on the system. To view your full scoring record on your HNA phone App, you need to turn your phone horizontally (to landscape mode). Look out for the following symbols in your scoring records:
S = Soft Cap
H = Hard Cap
A = Playing Conditions Calculation
If you have any queries about the system or it’s implementation, please do not hesitate to contact us by calling 0860 691 691 (Option 3) or emailing info@handicaps.co.za.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the positive way in which you have accepted the changes we have had to make to adopt the World Handicap System. We would also like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful festive season and a prosperous new year. May you play your best golf in 2020.
