Miguel Ángel Jiménez Makes an Albatross

On this day in 2009, defending champion Miguel Ángel Jiménez made an albatross in the third round of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. He holed a 6-iron from 188 meters on the par five 4th.

It was the highlight of his defence, in which he finished tied 43rd, 17 shots behind winner Paul Casey.

The albatross was the second of Jiménez' career, having achieved the feat 15 years earlier at Valderrama in the Volvo Masters (see video below at 2:47).
