Chip Beck Shoots 59

On this day in 1991, Chip Beck became only the second player in history to shoot a round of 59 on the PGA Tour.

Beck carded the round on day three of the Las Vegas Invitational at Sunrise Golf Club, Nevada.

His round over the par-72 South course contained 13 birdies and five pars, but Beck would only go on to finish tied for third in the tournament.
