Lydia Ko Wins First Major

On this day in 2015, Lydia Ko of New Zealand became the youngest winner of a golf Major, claiming the Evian Championship at the age of 18 years and 142 days.

Her closing round of 63 was the lowest final round in the history of women's Major golf.

In April of 2016, she won the ANA Inspiration, making her the youngest player to have won two women's Major championships.

Since turning professional in 2014, the Korean-born Kiwi has earned roughly $7.7 million on tour.
